Sao Paulo – Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva called for peace on Friday, saying U.S. President Donald Trump is “threatening” the world.
“The world is in a difficult situation. Trump is threatening everyone,” Lula said during a speech at the opening ceremony of a federal government institute campus in Sorocaba, São Paulo state.
In his speech, Lula reiterated Brazil’s stance against involvement in conflict.
“We in Brazil do not want war. We want peace,” Lula said, adding that his government is focused on improving access to social, economic, and cultural services.
