Thailand will introduce revised visa-free entry rules for foreign visitors from September 15, 2026, with different permitted stay periods for citizens of ASEAN countries and neighbouring states.
Under the revised arrangements, citizens of Laos, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Viet Nam and the Philippines will continue to be eligible for visa-free stays of up to 30 days.
Citizens of Cambodia and Myanmar will be eligible for visa-free stays of up to 14 days. For Myanmar nationals, the 14-day exemption will apply to those entering Thailand through international airports.
The Thai Government said the changes are aimed at improving the management of foreign visitors, ensuring appropriate immigration procedures and strengthening immigration controls and national security, while continuing to facilitate international travel and tourism.
The revised visa-free arrangements will take effect on September 15, 2026.
