The military-technical cooperation plan for 2026-2027 was signed at a meeting of the Belarusian-Laos Joint Commission on Military-Technical Cooperation on Thursday.
The meeting took place in Laos, with a delegation of Belarusian arms manufacturers led by Deputy Minister of Military Industry Oleg Mishchenko.
“The eighth meeting of the Belarusian-Laos Joint Commission on Military-Technical Cooperation took place today. Following the meeting, the two sides signed the final protocol and the cooperation plan for 2026-2027, outlining the further development of bilateral cooperation,” the agencies said in a statement.
The statement noted that, as part of the signed cooperation plan, the two sides agreed to implement several promising projects aimed at strengthening Laos’ defense capabilities, adding that special attention would be paid to human resource development, including the training of specialists in Belarusian educational institutions.
