The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Wang Huning, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), will lead a high-level Party and State delegation to the Lao People’s Democratic Republic from December 1 to 3, 2025.
During his visit to Laos, Comrade Wang Jing Ning will attend ceremonies celebrating the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Lao PDR and the 4th anniversary of the opening of the Lao-China Railway.
He will also pay a courtesy call on Comrade Thongloun Sisoulith, General Secretary and President of the Lao PDR, and meet with Comrade Sonxay Siphandone, Prime Minister of the Lao PDR, Comrade Xaysomporn Phomvihane, President of the National Assembly, and Comrade Sinlawong Khodphaithun, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Lao United Front for National Construction.
Comrade Wang Huning’s visit demonstrates the fine friendship between Laos and China, which will support the strategic friendship and promote long-term comprehensive strategic cooperation based on the four principles and the “Laos-China and China-Laos Cooperation for a Shared Future” initiative, aiming to achieve greater results and greater prosperity.
