Comrade To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, and a high-ranking delegation of the Party and State of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam arrived at Wattay International Airport, Vientiane on the morning of January 5, 2026,
with a warm and dignified welcome from Comrade General Vilay Lakhamphong, member of the Politburo of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, Permanent Secretary of the Party Central Committee Secretariat, and a high-ranking delegation of the Lao PDR.
This visit to the Lao PDR is in response to the invitation of Comrade Thongloun Sisoulith, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, President of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, to continue to enhance the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation and strategic partnership between Laos and Vietnam, and between Vietnam and Laos, to flourish and bear greater fruit.
